Abstract
The study for the Association of Independent Trade Unions of the Czech Republic, summarizes the current knowledge on the impacts of new information and communication technologies and artificial intelligence on the labour market. It describes not only general challenges, but also risks for individual professions and the readjustment of relations between employers and their employees. It focuses initiatives implemented in this field by transnational institutions and social partners. Using data from the European Eurobarometer survey, it shows how respondents perceive new technologies and artificial intelligence: whether and in what aspects they are afraid of them. Last but not least, the study also analyzes the use of information and communication technologies by trade unions. Since the study is intended primarily for trade unionists, it also contains a number of practical examples.
