New approaches to ensuring the availability of social services at the regional level
The main objective of the project is to create software for the planning of the coverage of territorial units by social services which, on the basis of demographic characteristics and information on the occurrence of specific social phenomena and issues, would allow for the quantification of the extent of the need for social services in individual regions. One of the aims of the project is to verify the usability of the acquired knowledge in the preparation of a plan for the development of social services in the Pardubice region and, subsequently, to apply this knowledge in the planning of social services in all the regions of the Czech Republic and so-called municipalities with extended powers. Based on a knowledge of demographic characteristics and information on the occurrence of specific social phenomena and problems, the software will enable the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and other stakeholders in the field of social services to quantify the extent of the need for social services in regions and municipalities with extended powers.
