Governance and Public Policy

The department of Governance and Public Policy is involved in research into the complex links between public institutions, their policies and civil society. The main specialisation of the department concerns the implementation of a multidisciplinary approach to public policies, especially those managed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, but also in connection with policy overlaps with other related areas. The department focuses mainly on applied research that investigates the development of living and working conditions following the implementation of specific public policies. The research topics include social dialogue and industrial relations, health, housing, further/lifelong education, gender, etc., as well as the monitoring of policies related to migration and the integration of foreigners into mainstream society.
