Description:
The main objective of the project was to investigate how municipal authorities (delegated and with extended power) as well as regional authorities carry out social work tasks under the Act on Social Services and the system of assistance in material need. The mixed method approach combining qualitative and quantitative research methods was employed. Findings of the research were used for the formulation of proposals for legislative and non-legislative nature of innovations aimed at ensuring greater efficiency in public administration in the subject area (i.e. social work targeted at provision of assistance to citizens in adverse social situation, and the availability of the necessary social services).
