Outreach performance and the subsequent setting of social assistance objectives by municipal social workers
The main objective of the project is to define the content and conditions of outreach work and, in particular, to develop practical methodological procedures for the conducting of such work in the context of social work at municipal offices in practice. One of the planned outcomes consists of an interactive form for municipal authority social workers for the keeping of records on outreaching. The purpose of implementing these outcomes is to: 1) to strengthen the legitimacy of outreach work from the perspective of municipal council management; 2) to support the introduction of social welfare outreaching at the municipal level by providing municipal authority social workers with the guidance and tools they presently lack so as to be able to introduce outreaching in practice, including the subsequent setting of assistance targets for citizens in difficult life situations; 3) to prevent the neglect of/failure to assist citizens in difficult life situations.
The novelty of the solution applied in this project lies in the fact that the topic of outreaching at the municipal authority level 1) is addressed comprehensively, i.e. from a definition of outreaching, through the creation of a methodological manual, to the provision of administrative support consisting of an interactive form for the maintaining of records of the outreach work conducted; 2) involves a multidisciplinary team, the members of which have the expertise relevant to the main target audiences and the implementation of outreaching in practice; 3) will result in close dialogue between municipal authority social workers, their superiors and representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA) thanks to the application of active research elements.
The results of the project will be implemented by the MoLSA and the towns of Ivančice, Strážnice and Veselí nad Moravou.
