Description:

The project aims to strengthen the social innovation support environment in the field of employment through the use of available data sources and the creation of tools for the practical use thereof. The main objective of the project is to contribute to the more effective setting of public and social policy parameters based on the provision of so-called “Big Data” and related tools that help various public and social policy actors to obtain more detailed knowledge of the area under analysis, especially at the regional level. It is proposed that the analysis of Big Data will enable the optimisation of subsequent steps in selected public and social policy areas. The unique objective of the project is, therefore, to obtain data from telecommunications operators, which make up some of the largest administrators of permanently updated data pools. One of the most significant innovations of the project is that it will be the first time that telephone operator data has been used in this way in the Czech Republic to date. The final outcome of the project will consist of the verification of the innovative use of Big Data telecommunications operators for the needs of the state administration system and local government. As part of the project, an internet application interface is being created as well as a user-oriented application that enables public and social policy actors, non-profit organisations and commercial entities to effectively analyse the current social situation at the regional level. The project will lead to the identification and use of a new source of data in the form of operational, signalling and residual data obtained from telecommunications operators.
