Description:

The basis for the project, which addresses the mapping of the barriers to and the conditions governing coordinated rehabilitation, arises from the fact that neither the factual nor the legal provision of rehabilitation are uniform in the Czech Republic. Rehabilitation is currently provided within the healthcare sector in the form of medical rehabilitative care including spa treatment and in the context of health services. While in the field of labour and social affairs, rehabilitation makes up a part of the state employment policy, e.g. work-related rehabilitation and the employment of people with disabilities, social rehabilitation is provided within the context of the assistance and support system through social services. In the field of education, pedagogical rehabilitation is provided within the context of special and inclusive education programmes. The project maps individual areas of rehabilitation – medical, social, work and pedagogical according to four basic criteria, i.e. the institutional conditions for the provision of rehabilitation, the ensuring of personnel, the target groups for which rehabilitation is provided and the costs associated with the implementation of particular types of rehabilitation.
