Description:

The first object of the project lies in multidimensional description of current housing problems and their changes during the transition in the Czech Republic by means of large analysis of housing expenditures from 1989 to 2000 and by realisation of the independent research o housing. This research would provide important information on non-economic aspects of housing concerning of satisfaction, migration plans, preferences and perception of the role of the state of Czech households. The description will be provided in comparative context with the situation in the EU countries and in other transitional countries. The second object lies in structural modelling of different housing policies and in analysis of their social and economic consequences. The aim would be to find the optimal combination of different housing policy means that would assure the highest possible economic and social effectivness in the Czech environment following the path of housing reforms in the EU countries.
