Description:

The aim of the research is to map selected aspects of intercultural awareness and intercultural communicative competence among nationals of the Russian Federation and Ukraine as a subgroup of foreigners from third countries. (1) To map what their cultural values and intercultural awareness are, while their legal awareness, i.e. their views on law including their specific rights and obligations, will be further examined in detail. (2) To investigate the degree of acquisition of intercultural communicative competence and its relevance for integration into the work team and non-work (especially leisure activities). (3) To identify intergenerational differences in terms of intercultural and legal awareness among nationals of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, including the acquisition and application of intercultural communicative competence. The mixed applied research includes a questionnaire survey among the adult population of nationals of the Russian Federation and Ukraine living in the capital city of Prague and a sequential qualitative survey in which 50 semi-structured in-depth interviews will be conducted with respondents from among nationals of the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
