Description:

The project responds to demographic ageing and its impacts on the socio-economic situation of older adults in the Czech Republic. Its main objective is to develop a dynamic microsimulation model that will enable the prediction of future trends in inequality, material deprivation, and indebtedness among older adults over the long term.
The project examines not only the situation of older adults themselves, but also indirect effects on families, particularly through the financial support of older household members. Special emphasis is placed on differences between urban and rural areas and on identifying the most vulnerable groups.
The main output will be an analytical tool applicable to the design and evaluation of public policies, enabling better targeting of measures in the areas of the pension system, social benefits, and the prevention of poverty in old age.
