Age Management and Ageism in Czechia and in the European Context
The project investigates the extent to which Czech employers adopt age management practices and implement measures aimed at preventing ageism, with particular attention to the specific forms these practices take in organizational settings. It further examines the factors that facilitate or hinder employers’ adoption of age management principles and anti-ageism measures, while also identifying the barriers faced by different types of employers and the forms of support they require in this area. By situating the findings within a broader international, and especially European, context, the project seeks to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of how age management and anti-discrimination strategies are developed and applied across diverse institutional environments. On this basis, it will formulate recommendations both for employers and for public policy instruments designed to support them. The project is primarily knowledge-oriented, with strong publication potential and clear scholarly ambition, while at the same time generating evidence of direct relevance to the policy sphere and thereby contributing to evidence-based policymaking.
