Biography

Kristýna Janurová is a sociologist and human geographer who received her education at the Faculty of Science at Charles University, Prague (Doctoral, 2025), Malmö University, Sweden (Master’s, 2012), and the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University, Prague (Bachelor’s, 2010). She completed a visiting fellowship at the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) in Regensburg, Germany (March 2016), and an academic exchange at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom (2009–2010). At RILSA, her research focuses on family and social policy, the sociology of the family, social disadvantage, and homelessness. She also has expertise in Czech international migration, migrant political and civic participation, and diaspora policy, which she has concentrated on as part of her doctoral studies and involvement in the GEOMIGRACE research centre at the Faculty of Science, Charles University.
