Ing. Marie Bukovská
Marie Bukovská graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, in Building Construction (1982). She subsequently worked for three years at the Regional Military Housing Administration as a construction planner. Since 1985 she has been employed at the Occupational Safety Research Institute (now RILSA), initially in the workplace environment department, where she worked on testing and developing temporary construction structures. Since 1992 she has been based in the construction laboratory of Testing Facility No. 1040, which she currently heads. Her work includes the entire testing and certification agenda, from client negotiations and test design to execution, certification, and reporting. She is a member of the Technical Standardization Committee for Scaffolding, contributing to the drafting and revision of national standards and the harmonization of European standards. She is also a member of the Czech-Moravian Chamber of Scaffolders, and has organized seminars on temporary construction structures.
