Ing. Marek Nechvátal, Ph.D.
Marek Nechvátal is a specialist in fire protection, risk prevention, and ergonomics. Since 2015 he has worked at the Occupational Safety Research Institute (now RILSA), where he focuses on occupational safety and health. He earned an engineering degree at the Czech University of Life Sciences and completed his doctoral studies in 2024 at the Faculty of Safety Engineering, VŠB–TU Ostrava. He has broad experience in research institutions and academia and has been active in teaching for many years. He has participated in dozens of research projects on topics including soil water regulation, transport, circular economy, smart workplaces, home office, worker protection in excavations, Industry 4.0-related risks, and the safety of foreign workers on the Czech labour market. He is a member of ČES, ČAZV, and ICID. His professional work integrates approaches from OSH, ecology, and technical sciences.
