The role of women – migrants in the process of the integration of the families of migrants into the majority society of the Czech Republic with regard to their socio-cultural specificities
The process of the integration of migrants into Czech society assumes, first and foremost, successful integration at the migrant family level. The dynamics of the implementation of the uniting of the families of migrants in the context of immigration to the Czech Republic is directed towards the increase in the number of women and children of foreigners as well as older persons. The share of children, whether they were born in the Czech Republic or abroad, significantly affects the decision of the families of migrants as to whether or not to remain in the country. In view of these ongoing changes, it is necessary to map the family way of life of foreigners. The main objective of the project is to gain an understanding of the importance and influence of the role of migrant women. The research focused on mapping the development and specifics of the social potential of women migrants to be the carriers of culture in the process of the integration of the families of foreigners into the majority society of the Czech Republic, taking into account the disparities caused by the effects of the relationships between and pressures resulting from the personal preferences of women and other members of their families, the socio-cultural conditions prevailing in the country of origin, the economic situation, the migration strategy of individual families and the character of the migration.
