Cooperation between the Labour Office of the Czech Republic and employers with concern to the placement of third country nationals in the Czech labour market and potential further use for the purposes of continuous monitoring
The basic aim of the project was to qualitatively map the current situation with respect to cooperation between the Labour Office of the Czech Republic (LO) and employers concerning the placement of third country nationals in the Czech labour market focusing on potential regional specifics. The methodology included the collection of qualitative data via electronic online interviews with representatives of 77 LOs at the former district level, through focus group meetings with employees from labour market, employment mediation and employment advisory departments and EURES at selected LO regional offices, and via in-depth interviews with selected employers and foreigners who have used LO services. The project included the proposal of appropriate structural measures and recommendations such as the creation or restoration of advisory platforms at the regional level involving representatives of regional LO contact centres, the Department of Asylum and Migration Policy of the Ministry of the Interior, regional integration centres of the Refugee Facilities Administration of the Ministry of the Interior, the State Labour Inspectorate, the Foreign Police and local government authorities. At the same time, proposals were put forward for the creation of information channels on the employment of foreigners between the relevant departments of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and Labour Office as well as between individual LO hierarchical levels.
