Biography

Antonie Doležalová is based at the Faculty of Economics, Prague University of Economics and Business, where her academic work focuses on the history of economic policy and economic thought. Her research bridges economics and history, particularly in the context of Czechoslovakia in the first half of the 20th century. She examines fiscal and monetary policy, land reform, nationalism in economic policy, and the development of political parties (especially the Agrarian Party). She has also long been engaged with topics such as altruism, philanthropy, and the non-profit sector, on which she teaches specialized courses both at the Prague University of Economics and Business and at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. She is the founder and guarantor of the digital library of economic literature, Bibliotheca economica, and has participated in international projects on agrarianism in Central Europe. Her current research focuses on foundations in the Czech lands at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as on the Agrarian Party and land reform during the First Czechoslovak Republic.
