Biography

Aneta Marková graduated with a master’s degree in special education at the Faculty of Education, Charles University, and a doctorate in civil society studies at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University (Ph.D., 2018). She completed study internships at the University of Glasgow, Health & Social Policy, (2008) and at Camphill Community Clanabogan in Northern Ireland (2015). Her professional interests lie in the area of ​​support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She focuses particularly on issues related to employment, volunteering, civic advocacy and life transition periods. Between 2007 and 2016, she worked in coordination and management positions in the non-profit sector. From 2018 to 2022, she was a professional coordinator at the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic. Since 2016, she has lectured on special education topics at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. She is currently the principal researcher for the “Changes in selected social services focused on people with disabilities during crises caused by viral diseases” project (TAČR-TL05000413).
