Biography
Karel Klouda is a recognized expert in nanosafety. After graduating in Chemical Technology at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, he worked at the Nuclear Research Institute Řež and the Czechoslovak Atomic Energy Commission. Since 1993 he has been employed at the State Office for Nuclear Safety. Since 2007 he has lectured at the Faculty of Safety Engineering, VŠB–Technical University of Ostrava, where he teaches CBRN substances and industrial toxicology. In 2009 he defended his habilitation thesis on the topic Underground Structures: Their Benefits and Risks. He is the author of more than 50 scholarly publications and holds the titles CSc., Ph.D., and MBA.
