Kamil Galuščák is a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University and of CERGE-EI, where he defended his Ph.D. dissertation in economics in 2002. In 1998, he completed a study stay at University College London. From 2000 to 2023, he worked at the Czech National Bank in the Monetary Department and in the Economic Research Division, which he headed in 2015–2016, and also served as an advisor to the Bank Board. In 2024–2025, he was employed in the Economic Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Czech Economic Society and served as its President from 2018 to 2020. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Charles University Committee for Science Support Programmes in the field of humanities and social sciences. Between 2019 and 2023, he served on the Expert Committee of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for the evaluation of research organizations and on the Ministry’s Scientific Council. Since January 2023, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and has served as its Vice-Chair since October 2025. His research focuses primarily on labour market economics. He also teaches, on a part-time basis, in the master’s course Public Economics at the Institute of Economic Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University.
