Biography

Hana Hlavičková graduated from the Secondary School of Economics in Prague in 1987, specializing in General Economics, and subsequently joined the Occupational Safety Research Institute (now RILSA) in the Department of Ergonomics. Since 1997, she has been Head of the National Information, Education, and Awareness Centre. In 2002, she completed a placement at the UK Health and Safety Executive, focusing on OSH Public Relations at the national and regional level. She has collaborated on international projects under the Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus+ programs (2011–2021), aimed at developing OSH training programs for industrial employees, educational materials for teachers and students (vocational training and OSH education), and a glossary of OSH-related terms adapted into sign language for the deaf and for migrants. She has long contributed to national projects focused on the development of media and awareness-raising tools and on examining their influence on the formation of opinions and attitudes of target groups, particularly in relation to risk perception and OSH as a value enhancing quality of working life. She is currently involved in projects focused on measuring nanoparticles in the workplace during various activities and studying the consequences of mechanical and thermal disruption of electrochemical processes in batteries and capacitors.
