Robin Maialeh is named as the new director of RILSA
Robin Maialeh has been appointed as the new director of the Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs as of 1 October.
He was awarded his doctorate at the University of Economics in Prague. He also completed study and scientific research internships at Princeton University, UC Berkeley and the Bern University of Applied Sciences. Prior to taking up the position of director of RILSA, he worked as a university lecturer in the field of economics, focusing on economic inequalities, the political economy and the methodology of science.
The main priorities of the new director include, in particular, improving the quality of research, the gradual internationalisation of the institute’s activities and focusing on the analysis of the impact of public policies. Moreover, Robin Maialeh will work to improve cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs aimed at strengthening the link between applied social science research and public policy implementation.
